Not Lovin' The Love Bugs

It's love bug season in East Texas and anyone driving the two-lane blacktops knows it. The common march flies are out in their mating frenzy--veritable clouds of them spattering windshields and clogging radiators in their wake. Apparently the concentrated numbers on roadways is due to their attraction to  chemicals created when automobile exhaust fumes interact with heat and sunshine.

It goes without saying that a car wash is the first thing on the agenda tomorrow morning.

Ugh. Car wash for sure.

If misery loves company, imagine the mess when I tell you that we once experienced such a thing while driving Mac . . . .
