Stop in at the 20 Mule Team Cafe. Besides the interesting visuals, they have good food, made to order. There was no problem asking for a tomato slice in my grilled cheese sammy, which was quite delish(the variation seemed to intrigue my waitress).

Dead Wildlife And A Guess At Snake ID

This time out, TSG has come up rather short in the "live" wildlife department.  Sadly we haven't even got to see our favorite American antelope on the hoof.  Somehow fate has provided a backup plan for us. As it happens, we've seen many, many fine examples of taxidermy of all kinds of ex-wildlife on our travels. The examples here are from the Cabela's Store in Grand Junction, CO.

Our guess on the snake photo from Spring Mills State Park is a water snake. Either that or maybe the extremely rare Indiana Bushmaster.

The Perfect Moment

Readers familiar with Spalding Grey's Swimming To Cambodia may remember his search for "the perfect moment". He sought it out purposefully, using various aids, and if memory serves, found it on a beach in Thailand. In our travels, we too hope for a PM, but we don't actively seek it out. Instead we hope for one at some point in the journey...and we usually aren't disappointed. This time out, our perfect moment arrived in the late afternoon today in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
