Our lodgings this evening happened to be right across the street from the Lone Star/Tri-City Corvette Club's 28th annual show. Quite the impressive gathering of all different versions of America's Sport's Car, including several of our favorite, the mid-60s Stingray.

The Two Best Things About The Old Louisiana State Capitol
The "old" State Capitol in Baton Rouge tops the list of things to see, and justly so. The castle-inspired building with it's fantastic stained-glass ceiling dome and the classic spiral staircase up to the mezzanine are breathtaking.
Just as impressive to TSG (unsurprisingly) is the massive live oak out on the front lawn

I'm Willard R. And I Approve...Take Two
Strolling down Dumaine Street this morning, just wandering around looking for photo ops, saw this:
So yeah, the pink tri-wheel tuk-tuk kinda thing is pretty cool, but what caught our eye immediately upon taking the photo was the side of the building in the background:Amused by the synchronicity of this TSG-connected vision, of course we had to take a snapshot. Once back in our Warehouse District digs, we pulled up Google maps for a bird's eye perspective:
A little further googling revealed the building was originally built in 1820 by John Fritz Miller to house his family and the law practice of Christian Rosaleus, the future founder of Tulane University School of Law,
Since then, it was converted to a hotel with the "you can't make this up" nickname, The Biscuit Palace.
The Biscuit Palace closed after a fire in 2019 and has since been renovated and reopened as a boutique "luxury guesthouse", The French Quarter Mansion

The Cat Came Back...Well, Sort Of
Another featured attraction(?) at the Pensacola Museum of History is the famous(?) "Petrified Cat". Visitors get to see two versions of the mummified meower--both the original and the laser-scanned 3D replica. What a treat!

Greetings From Pensacola...
...is a cool exhibit featuring vintage postcards at the city's history museum. Right up our alley, as it were.
