Well, here's a pair just for you. These were used for a slightly less nefarious purpose than the usual trope. In this particular case, the cement-soled, twenty-pound-per shoe pair were used by Montana State Prison guards to put on potential escapees.
(Looks to us like they'd be pretty easy to untie and cast aside, but who knows...)

What we have here is a failure to communicate . . . the need for really secure shoe laces.
This was really interesting "combination" museum in the kinda run-down 'burg of Deer Lodge. The other half was an impressive car collection with some really neat vehicles. It was a bit too crowded for me though, one of several places where I cut my visit short due to lax pandemic-related rule observation and enforcement.
