Strolling down Dumaine Street this morning, just wandering around looking for photo ops, saw this:
Amused by the synchronicity of this TSG-connected vision, of course we had to take a snapshot. Once back in our Warehouse District digs, we pulled up Google maps for a bird's eye perspective:
A little further googling revealed the building was originally built in 1820 by John Fritz Miller to house his family and the law practice of Christian Rosaleus, the future founder of Tulane University School of Law,
Since then, it was converted to a hotel with the "you can't make this up" nickname, The Biscuit Palace.
The Biscuit Palace closed after a fire in 2019 and has since been renovated and reopened as a boutique "luxury guesthouse", The French Quarter Mansion

Dang. I suppose that fire consumed the walnut collection that was no doubt lovingly on display.
Nothing worse than burnt walnut shells. Well, I'm sure there are worse things, like maybe burnt pecan shells.
