Our lodgings this evening happened to be right across the street from the Lone Star/Tri-City Corvette Club's 28th annual show. Quite the impressive gathering of all different versions of America's Sport's Car, including several of our favorite, the mid-60s Stingray.
The "old" State Capitol in Baton Rouge tops the list of things to see, and justly so. The castle-inspired building with it's fantastic stained-glass ceiling dome and the classic spiral staircase up to the mezzanine are breathtaking.
Just as impressive to TSG (unsurprisingly) is the massive live oak out on the front lawn
