Such a great shot. But what is that thing doing at the top of a fence post? Trying to get somewhere else? Scoring something that was on the pole? Doing survey work for other seashore critters?

As best I could tell, (s)he was eyeing a quail perched on the next fence post over. I was wondering, could the weasel actually launch itself across the gap and snag the quail? But the bird took off, leaving the weasel atop the post wondering what to do next. Then it spotted me and retreated back into the shrubbery.
