A Quick Saunter Through The Tree Tunnel

I dunno; I kind of expected to see Supermouse striking a heroic pose at the end of that journey - I think maybe it was the music.

Trivia tidbit: this place is the only surviving Coastal Morse Code Station. The associated radio station KPH broadcasts every weekend. Another cool thing about the place is the huge antenna farms behind the building that stretch out towards the coast.

Morse code. My dad learned that to get his ham radio license. I think he had to master at least 13 words per minute to pass. Even when he got his "now you can speak with your voice" license, he still like to sometimes do Morse. I was intrigued enough to practice a bit with his practice cassette tapes and vinyl. I got up to maybe 8 words per minute (with maybe 85% accuracy, which technically puts the lie to "8 words per minute"). Amusing to think that there are still folks out there who like to spend some time listening to code and figuring out the letters.
