Just downstream from Lee's Ferry, input spot for Grand Canyon river trips.

So, was there ever a Mr. Lee who ferried paying passengers across the river at that particular spot? Seems unlikely, given the unwelcoming aspects of the opposing shore.
The historic Ferry crossing spot is about 1/2 mile upstream from where the photo was taken, just above the boat launch ramp. It's always sort of cool to hang around the ramp where there are usually a couple of groups gearing up and getting ready to hit the river for the trip down into the Grand Canyon. There's a pervading sense of adventure that's quite contagious.
