As noted in the post, the Blue Whale is one of the true icons of Rt 66. A must-stop if you're seriously doing the whole mother road thang. I, for one, am really glad there are people who've made it their mission to maintain it.

This post is from October 9th. Any chance you know when the photo was taken? I'm a filmmaker and trying to figure out if the foliage around the whale is still green in early October. Thanks.
