The old Merc page is from my "rock media" archive, an odds and sodds collection from various sources. That ad for "Let It Be"--didn't we see that when it first came out? In my memory, the other half of the double feature was the yawn-inducing Isadora.

Another thing that caught my eye was the phone numbers without area codes. No 1+ or 10-digit dialing required.

Marineworld is now Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo. A general admission day ticket now costs $56, plus $25 to park. The only two other places that are still around are Burger Pit and the Los Gatos Theater.

Editor's note: oops, sorry I deleted your comment in error. Checked the wrong box by mistake. A thousand pardons, m'lord.

We did see Let It Be together, but not with Isadora (though I did see that movie too; just don't recall whom with). When you and I saw it, it was with Hard Day's Night and Help as well (I don't think Yellow Sub was in the line-up, but maybe it was). At least that's how I recall it. We were in that movie theater for many hours. As I vaguely recall, we saw this Beatles line-up not too long after we saw the fine Japanese monster movie, War of the Gargantuas (with its memorable scene of one of the creatures chewing up some human and then spitting the ishy remains out onto the ground with a yechy splat).
