One of the unexpected perks (so to speak) of Amazon Fresh* is their use of dry ice to keep the frozen food frozen. It's a nice touch and a chance to play around a little. Regrettably, due to being a foot short, we weren't able to do something a little more imaginative with better production values. One might say we had troubles with our toil.

Heck, those were way better special effects than were typically found in many of the shabby Creature Feature-type flicks we watched back in the day. The music did add an amusing gravitas.
I think the last time I used dry ice was on an early road trip, with good results...a little too good. I tossed some into my cooler in the morning and later on that day I found that everything was frozen solid. Nothing worse than looking forward to a cold brew after a long day on the road...only to find your beer is not in a liquid state.
Freezing alcohol takes some doing. You had a lot of dry ice and a very good cooler, it seems.
I'm sure I had the beer either on top of or right next to the dry ice. And my cooler at the time was one of those classic stainless-steel Colemans.
I had another interesting beer/dry ice incident at one of my Halloween parties. We were keeping the beer in a bubbling "cauldron" filled with ice water and some chunks of dry ice thrown in. Several party-goers were quite startled when their supercooled, not-quite frozen beers erupted when they popped open the can.
"Boo" said the beer can.
