The undisputed highlight of the Aztec Museum & Pioneer Village is
Valenty Zaharek's "Pecos West".
Mr. Zaharek created this 18' revolving depiction of the old west in the 60s and displayed it in Sedona and as a traveling exhibit at fairs. It features hand-carved pueblos, mesas, campfire, assorted wildlife and unfortunate cowboys.
Add some narration and some music to the mix and it all adds up to a classic road trip experience.

Very cool, TSG. I like the kind of 60's-ish mildly abstract kind of artistic sensibility he puts forth. Like the cloud of dust into which the cowboy thrown by the horse dives head first.
