Out in the middle of nowhere in New Mexico, the Bisti Badlands have long been on TSG's road trip bucket list. It was a little too cold and windy to explore too much--the best parts are miles further into the badlands--but these pics give you an idea of the scenery.

Yeah, I'll have to grant you the cloud observation.
These kinds of landscapes only hold my interest a relatively short period of time. I just tend to prefer 'scapes filled with trees and such. That said, some of this really does beg for closer inspection. And I quite fancied that double-humped hill rising up out of the flatness.
