The Willow Glen Giant Skeleton's Easter Finery

As we speculated in an earlier post, the neighborhood big-boned mascot has sprouted bunny ears and has accessorized with am Easter bonnet and basket. The next evolution in holiday-appropriate attire is is anyone's guess.

View From Navajo Knobs Trail / Capitol Reef National Park

Truly one of the great vistas of a park full of spectacular red rock scenery. The view is dominated by the magnificent Pectol's Pyramid, with the Henry Mountains (the last mountain range to be added to the map of the 48 contiguous states) just visible in the distance.

The Green Green Grass Of Coe

One of our rites of Spring is a ramble along Henry Coe State Park's Hunting Hollow Road. The rainy season is just about over, so this is the time to enjoy the verdant foothills of the southern Diablo Range. The oaks are still thinking about leafing out, but the wildflower bloom has definitely begun.
