Metal Medusa Slumming In Petaluma Parking Lot

Those of us not lucky(?) enough to attend Burning Man won't ever get to experience the amazing giant art installations that make up the surreal landscape there. However, you might get to catch a glimpse of one on the road somewhere, as we did in Petaluma recently. A local artist/fabricator shop, Reared In Steel, created the phantasmagorical piece "Medusa Madness", seen here in situ at the Black Rock Desert from pics we copied from the interwebs:

Medusa Madness' current, less impressive incarnation. in pieces, can be seen at the corner of Copeland and E. Washington, right across from the boring-by-comparison Petaluma Trolley Living History Railway Museum, which is basically just a single restored trolley car sitting on an abandoned bit of track.
