TSG pays a visit to the Rose White & Blue Parade

A lot going on there. Not much in the way of floats, even the simple kind comprising a flatbed trailer with [something] on it. The Native Americans and the lion dancers were visually excellent. No bands? Was their an audio component to this parade? Boom boxes or a PA system?

No floats, at least not in the Macy's/Rose Parade sense/scale. The closest thing were a few stakebed-type trailers with awnings...I only saw one "band", a 6-piece brass & drum combo being towed in a replica of a cable car. I was a bit disappointed that "King Creole", the Elvis Impersonator did not participate this year. In the past he usually walked the route alongside a vintage Cadillac, dressed in a red white & blue jumpsuit while serenading the crowd on a portable mic/PA system.
