Talk about rich chocolatey goodness! First encountered on offer from a hotel vending machine in Fredericksburg TX, Little Debbie's Cosmic Brownies are our go-to pick whenever we're on the road.

I may have to hunt those down. In recent years, the quality and yummy factor of Hostess products (I'm looking at you, Ho-Ho's, Ding Dongs, cupcakes, etc.) has dropped, with the result being very meh. Were it not for the nostalgic factor of the brand name, I'd have given up trying.
So, I did indeed find and purchase and try these Cosmic Brownies. And, yes, let me confirm these are a cut above the average institutional bakery offering. Tender yet full bodied, and the chocolate hit(s) are most worthy. Thanks for the tip, TSG.
The current version, like most "institutional bakery offerings" has experienced a decline in quality/taste/size over the years. Oh well, time marches on in the tasty treat universe just as it does everywhere else.
