OK. (A) the book to which you refer is one of the all time great sci-fi novels. Absolutely fantastic by any and every measure. (B) I was a huge huge fan of Dennis (along with Peanuts) as a kid. I had gobs of Dennis paperbacks and comic books, and I was doodling Dennis doodles from about 4th grade on - Hank's art was a significant inspiration to all my doodling that followed. Which leads me to the question, where exactly is this statue of Dennis located? What excellent taste in statuary.

The statue is on the grounds of the very appropriately named Dennis The Menace Playground, which opened in 1956.
