At first we thought these guys were photo stand-ins for tourist photo ops. But on closer inspection it appears some anti-social types have performed some uncalled-for modifications.

We were able to find a pic of these fellows in their original non-defaced (ha) versions:

Huh. Unless very precise vandals have been at work, or I'm guessing those headless gents are photo opportunities
I poked around and found an image from 2012 that shows the guys in their original guise. Post has been updated with the pic.
So, OK. Vandalism someone perhaps committed in order to create a photo op.
