So many of those images remind me of places where my folks (and I) would stay on vacations or traveling to see relatives for one reason or another. A couple had notes on them, having been used to convey actual information. I'm sure the writer/mailer did not anticipate their scribblings ending up in some unknown person's shoebox (proverbial shoebox, that is). And, the major chuckle was the "Weseman Motel." Wonder if someone we know could get a discount there?
I got a chuckle of the La Quinta card with the missive to "Wayne" from "Your friend Robbie"...with no address. The hotel's location is a bit of a mystery: it didn't have the usual promo spiel on the back. However I found the same card online with a message about being in New Orleans. I wonder if Robbie's "storm" might have been a hurricane?
