Not The World's Largest Buffalo

Did you purposefully arrange your travels to be there for the fair/rodeo?

Those cowboy boots were pretty intense. Some should come with a small portable blacklight to better show off their features.

And, Longmire is/was a good program. Kinda slow moving, and Longmire himself is kind of a mess, but a good show nevertheless if you just sit back and let it wash over you.

Coming across the rodeo/fair was pure serendipity--I was just cruising around town and saw a roadside sign and went in to check it out. Of course this is the time of year for local fairs and festivals, and the ones in rural America are pretty fantastic.

I enjoyed Longmire, too. The series wasn't even on my radar until I visited the filming location that stood in for downtown Buffalo in the series, Las Vegas NM. It has a "typical western town" vibe that has been served as the backdrop for several film and TV productions. I was amused to see Robert Taylor in "The Meg", a guilty pleasure of mine in the "giant monster Saturday afternoon popcorn flick" category.
