The History Museum on the Square has a very cool "time traveling streetcar" that allows museum-goers to visit scenes offrom the city's past. Using the controls on the pedestal in the cab one can navigate to a time portal and view a slice of history.

A bit of a hodge podge of animation approaches there. I do like the off-ramp concept though.
