Growing up in San Diego we had boring cars--an old Buick and a later a newer
Rambler. But...just a few houses away, our friend Chris...his dad had a '66 Toronado,
quite possibly the coolest car around at the time. Ever since then, the "Toro"
has topped our list of favorite cars. However, in our auto museum-going career
it has been conspicuously absent from the collections. Today we broke our non-Toronado streak at the
R.E. Olds Transportation Museum in Lansing MI. The '66 was tough to get good photos of,
but they had a slightly less cool 1970 version on display and a factory mock-up
model as well. So all in all it was a good day for this Toronado aficionado.

Does have that retro cool thing going for it.
I don't actually recall this model. But then, I'm not much of a car guy. For the most part, there's the Jaguar XKE, and everything else is a "car." I know, something must be broken.
