Koi can be serious business.

OK, I suppose that is true of just about everything one can think of.

Nancy is a serious koi fan. We looked into doing a koi pond in Illinois. Turns out, especially being close to that pond, koi ponds are just bird feeders (cranes and such) unless you go to elaborate measures to protect the fish. Measures that kind of greatly detract from the visual scene you're trying to establish in the first place.
