Excellent random assortment. Emotionally stirred by the Pat Paulsen and the Dr. Who buttons. Many others brought a chuckle, and not a few a "huh," as in, "wonder what that was from?"
I acquired the Paulsen Campaign merch at his appearance at a bank in Almaden Fashion Plaza. I still have the autographed picture somewhere in the archives. The semiconductor/computer-themed items are from my stint at Coast Mailing Corporation where we warehoused and shipped promo materials for the big Silicon Valley chip makers.
Got me curious about other buttons (there's only about a gazillion of 'em), like this one: https://www.zazzle.com/number_6_badge_the_prisoner_pinback_button-145141004440602427?rf=238778069823835601&tc=CjwKCAjw4c-ZBhAEEiwAZ105RRrwqbqgrt9lWjMvNrEH_4c01Khklacx5KUAVGIgL3q8yVsESxx-ZhoCYRoQAvD_BwE&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=us_shopping&utm_term=z145141004440602427&ca_chid=2001810&ca_source=gaw&ca_ace=&ca_nw=g&ca_dev=c&ca_pl=&ca_pos=&ca_cid=575898871839&ca_agid=133393144978&ca_caid=15866686216&ca_adid=575898871839&ca_kwt=&ca_mt=&ca_fid=&ca_tid=pla-1476823888547&ca_lp=1027744&ca_li=&ca_devm=&ca_plt=&gclsrc=aw.ds&gclid=CjwKCAjw4c-ZBhAEEiwAZ105RRrwqbqgrt9lWjMvNrEH_4c01Khklacx5KUAVGIgL3q8yVsESxx-ZhoCYRoQAvD_BwE
I have a "I Am Not A Number" fridge magnet with an image of Pat McG's glowering visage against a red background. I got it at the Lompoc Historical Society Museum which struck me as rather odd since it was the only Prisoner-related item in the entire gift shop. As far as I know there is no connection between Lompoc and Portmeirion...but who knows, maybe they are secret sister cities.
