Soapbox Hill, Plaquemine LA

We were a couple of days too late to see the 74th running of the Derby when we passed through, but it was cool to see this slice of small town America. Especially neat was the fact that the staging box had a view of the Mississippi.

Might be the weird perspective that photography sometimes brings to the table, that that seems like a pretty lengthy track. It would have been fun to watch at least a few carts make their way to the finish line.
