Post-posting edit: apparently fake/parody/viral pet flyers are kind of an ongoing thing, with collections posted on various web pages. Here's one more seen recently in Santa Cruz:

Well, I guess I'd rather have folks occupy their time this way as versus drinking the latest noxious kool aid du jour.
In several recent discussions I've discovered some people don't view these flyers through the same humorous/curious lens as I do. They feel like missing pets aren't something to be made fun of, and I get that. However, in a world where random walls and utility poles and the like are turned into public bulletin boards with all manner of notices both serious and scammy I think there's room for a little bit of comedy relief.
