Had no idea that "corvid" was a fancy schmancy term for "crow." I knew that crows were fairly canny, but I didn't know that their total brain-to-body mass ratio is equal to that of non-human great apes and cetaceans and only slightly lower than that of humans. Given what I've observed in recent times of human behavior, I might go further and suggest that, on average, crows have a higher brain-to-body mass than humans.
