Any serious road trip to Florida must surely include a visit to Weeki Wachee Springs State Park. Undeniably a relic from another age of tourism, the underwater theater production ("The Little Mermaid" when TSG was there) alone makes a visit to the park worthwhile. Frankly, the rest of the park for us was kinda meh--it's one of those places best appreciated by families with kids. But we have to say we enjoyed our visit immensely...another classic roadside attraction checked off the bucket list.

I did not know that this place was still operating. All the times we were in Florida over the years, did not partake. Glad you got to check this box.
I'm imaging, with great hope, that their gift shop featured a souvenir pencil that sports a mermaid's tail . . . .
