I'm kind of nonplussed. That's a really nicely done statue. Really nicely done. And the overall setting is quite impressive. But . . . James Garner? He's a decent enough actor and all, but, wow - that's a whole lot of pricey accolades going on there.
Wonder if his home town has offered up a similar thing for Dwight Fry?
Now, if that town also offered a James Garner memorial souvenir pencil, then I'd totally get it.
Well, speaking from the perspective of a long-time fan, I'd say Jimbo is/was quite worthy of the honor his home town bestowed upon him. In my book, Garner, beyond the roles he played over his career, was a genuine good guy, not all that common when it comes to Hollywood types. BTW, if I had seen a JG souvenir pencil at any of the local shops, I would've definitely picked one up for you.
