Nothing like a cat to raise the ratings of a hospitality property at least one star, in my book.

We have friends who lived for years in Deming. From everything they've ever told us about the place, this sunset might be about the best thing in town . . . .

That little kitty was actually kind of neat. It came running across the parking lot to check me out and escorted me all around the property as I was looking for a spot to get a sunset photo. As far as Deming goes, it's a typical dusty desert town, but it does have some fine Mexican food. I highly recommend Si Senor's if you're looking for a place to have dinner.

In fact, our Deming friends also fondly recall the local Mexican grub in those parts. "Si senior, I know theese Pancho Via; we had lunch together."
