Take This Post For Grant Ed
Occupying 10,000 acres in Halls Valley in the Diablo Range is Grant Ranch County Park. The Grant family home isn't open that often, but TSG lucked out and got a personal tour from the park historian. Thanks to Ron Bricmont for showing us around the old homestead.

10K acres; sure hate to have to mow that.
That little statute/figure thing is upsetting on many levels, not least of which is that someone seemingly expended considerable energy and talent to make it, and then that these people bought it . . . .
Yeah, that little teapot(?)cream pitcher(?) thingy is pretty bizarre. When I took the picture I thought it was just a porcelain figurine of some sort. It wasn't until I was going thru my pics that I realized how strange it was. I guess the only thing that would make it weirder would be if the pouring spout was coming out of one of his nether orifices.
