That's pretty weird. And cool. At first glance, I thought I was looking at some skate park feature.

I wasn't able to find a geologic name for that particular formation, but it reminded me a lot of the Split Mountain Anticline in Anza Borrego.

Not sure about that. I clicked your link to Split Mountain Anticline, and that looked more like a microphoto of detail of one of Engleknot Face's facial wrinkles.
