My dad loved to take and develop pix of flowers; he would have thought these were uber cool. And, yep, they are. National Geo-quality stuff in this batch. Plants, by the way, can be so weird. The best shot? Easy peasy - the one featuring the bee. Crazy excellent pic.

RE: the bee--I'm always on the lookout for bugs in blossoms. They add a little something to a generic "oh, pretty flower!"-type images. My fave of the bunch is the poppy pierced by a storksbill(?) sticker.

I didn't know what to think of that pic. Kind of mildly disturbing. Like, that's not good for any of the parties involved.

Nice! Almost time to go to Borrego Springs to see the wild flowers. Some are already out.
