Another ex-roadside attraction, Smith River's Ship Ashore Museum/Gift Shop has apparently been relegated to the dustbin of tourist trap history. TSG has interior images from a previous visit somewhere in our archives but we lacked the motivation to seek them out at post time.

Ya gotta figure it was expensive to maintain that thing, and perhaps costly to cool it with AC in the summertime. What with the museum part being "free," that left only the junk on sale as a source of income. I bet the $ in didn't regularly equal or exceed the $$ going out. The pix, by the way, are oddly compelling. Each required a certain amount of eyeballing and scrutiny.
