Huh. I'm used to thinking about climbing up to a lighthouse, rather than climbing down to it. Must be a pain in the butt to bring groceries and supplies to that station, if a lighthouse keeper is in fact involved.
I've been down to the lighthouse several times over the years. Always fun to experience the stream of folks in various fitness levels coming back up.(not that I wasn't huffing a puffing a little myself).
Trivia tidbits: the lighthouse is regarded as one of the foggiest and most consistently windy places on the west coast. It is said that several keepers abandoned the job because the constant howling of the wind was driving them mad.

Is this your 2nd visit to that lighthouse?
