Nice Day @ The Head

Yaquina Head, that is, just north of Newport OR. The "official" name is Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area. TSG heartily concurs.

Yeah, the view from Yaquina Head is pretty spectacular, especially on a nice sunny, windy day. Unfortunately I was not able to tour the lighthouse. When I arrived the tours were sold out for the afternoon. I had the option to go back early the next morning but I chose to visit the tourist trap trifecta in Newport's Mariner Square instead (Ripley's, the Wax Works and Undersea Gardens).
