Return To Seven Mile Beach
A fortuitous afternoon low tide on New Year's Day allowed TSG to pass through the "tunnel" at Panther Beach and visit the infamous Secret Cave of Seven Mile Beach. The cave, found on the seaward side of a huge mudstone(?) fin, isn't much more than an graffiti-marred alcove, but it does have a nice view.

"Nice view" indeed. Very cool place. Looks to be a tad warmer than northern Idaho, too.
And, thanks for the red arrow. It served its purpose well.
I have never been there. That this cave the place where the person fell in the video? Anywho, you pictures are beautiful, as usual...
Yep, that is the cave in the drone video that captured the hiker falling down the cliff face. The angle of the drone video made the fall look farther than it really is, but still...slipping and falling on that mudstone from any height is gonna hurt.
At any rate, the "cave" itself was a bit of a letdown, but it was kind of a cool little adventure just getting there.
