Here's a hastily cobbled-together set of pics (complete with the usual duplicates tossed in for good measure) from TSG's visit to Santa Fe's avant-garde art collective founded by George RR Martin. It's truly a spot that you have to see in person to really appreciate.

Ha. Bizarre orcas, floating eyeballs, self-illuminated fungus, and a washing machine (or dryer) that appears to be the gateway to infinity; what's not to like? Not sure why you picked that Monkees' tune but I highly approve. It is amazing what very wealthy people can find to do with their bucks, this expenditure seemingly of greater value than many things one reads about.
Re: "Door Into Summer"-- I picked it for a couple of reasons. First, the traditional May roadtrip serves as my door into summer--3-plus weeks of traipsing around, mostly before the "real" summer/tourist season starts. Secondly, song and the Heinlein story that inspired it have a fantasy/time-travel vibe that dovetails nicely with the venue. And thirdly, the song was just the right length to go with the slideshow.
