And, is this place a "National Monument" until it's not, what with the Executive Office looking to unmonumentize a number of recently proclaimed monuments?
I suppose the aerial shots must be from around 30K--or whatever the cruising altitude of a 737 happens to be on the SWA SJC-SAN route. The other image was taken from the aptly-named Overlook Hill, which I guess must be, what, 200ft?
Gawd, I hope they don't rob this place of Monument status. It would be a crime to deny future generations the opportunity to experience and enjoy this vast grassland.
