A Small But Pretty Cool Plant Confluence


Looks like the blade of grass picked a hole in the fallen leaf to sprout through--and then carried the leaf up off the ground as it grew.Spotted along the Paradise Creek trail, Sequoia NP.

What a cool shot, TSG. Good eye and excellent composition. I'm sure this could be a metaphor for any number of things, and might also be the subject of a motivational poster with some allegorical cum inspirational text overprinted thereon.

After posting this I realized a bit of irony in the image--in that I took a "down on your knees" pic of a tiny bit of plant interaction in a park dedicated to the largest trees on earth.
