The feathered creation at the far right is pretty disturbing looking. Look like it would be right at home with the Zuni fetish doll. Brrrrr.

That particular owl photo sparked an (oft-repeated) conversation with a museum volunteer..."Why would you want a picture of that?" I suppose a smart-alecky response would've been "Well, why would you put it on display?" Instead, I attempted to explain that I take pics of stuff that "catches my eye" and then have the image later for blog posts, emails and such(non-commercial--an important qualification). Some folks get it, some don't. It was sort of funny a few minutes later when the volunteer asked me why I was taking pictures of a chamber pot. I explained that I already had pictures of chamber pots, but I didn't have a pic of the pamphlet on display right next to it, Teaching Johnny To Swim--A Manual For Parents. (Stay tuned, that picture will almost certainly appear in a future TSG offering)

In the small world category (or perhaps small mind category), I have something akin to a chamberpot shot; a nice pic of the multi-seat outhouse that Abraham Lincoln had at his Springfield digs. No waiting!
