Trout Farm Inn, We Hardly Knew Ye

In the bad news for South Bay diving board aficionados department....

TSG was saddened to learn of the fire at Ben Lomond's venerable Trout Farm Inn last month. We only had the pleasure of swimming there once, but it was a blast. A nice big clean pool with a laid back mountain vibe.  Luckily no one was hurt when the restaurant burned down, and the pool itself seems to have escaped the blaze.  The community has offered support to the displaced staff and voiced a strong desire see the the place come back to life.  But for this summer anyway, TSG will have to find another place to do his springboarding.

An impressive pictorial record, TSG. We will shed a virtual tear in solidarity and in hopes of a renewed diving venue for your immersion pleasures.

Funny tidbit about the "laid back mountain vibe" at the pool...When I was there they were promoting the upcoming "Adult Swim" party on Labor Day Weekend. I was talking to the woman who was running the snack bar and she was quite enthusiastic about it. "You should really come up and check it out", she said, "it's a 420-friendly event!"

Rocky Mountain High. Well, except for the "Rocky Mountain" part of it.
