If you like murals like we do, Frisco's Mission District should be on your bucket list. Here's just a sample of some of the great public wall art on display. The neighborhood is also known for having a ton on hole-in-the-wall eateries featuring just about any kind of ethnic food you might want. TSG recommends La Taqueria at 2889 Mission. They are justly famous for their "Mission style" burritos, but our fave there are the quesadillas de harina with an extra splash of their house salsa verde. Yum!

It just kept coming, one awesome thing after another (and, OK, a thing or two that looked like wannabe or otherwise failed efforts). I was impressed (relieved, actually) that so many of these works were untagged by local graffitists who, I hope, left these images untouched out of respect. (A few offerings, like Mario, didn't seem to garner much sanctity in those regards.)
A lot of public wall-based art strikes me as amateurish (blocky, goofy non-artistic perspective, poorly proportioned) but most of this stuff was really striking. Those striving for something realistic, and those putting their own imaginations on display, both did so with considerable technical skill. I wonder if there is some committee somewhere that approves both the concept and the artist before these go up? You'd think not, but man, the quality level was so high.
Very Cool! Love your video, its so you.
I am not sure about that music...
