In this case, it's the Point Arena Lighthouse. To make up for Friday's rather lackluster post, here's a more or less 270-degree view from the lantern room/balcony. (The "lantern", the last mercury-floated 1st Order Fresnel Lens on the west coast, was replaced in 1978 and is on display in the museum below.)

Interesting enough that I clicked over to Wikipedia to read up on this lighthouse. They have a nice picture there of the Fresnel lens. So, anyway, thanks for the enlightening posting.
