Tonight's Epicurian Delight (?)

Behold the TSG(Trout, Slaw & Gouda) sandwich!
Trader Joe's smoked trout, KFC coleslaw and melted wasabi gouda on a toasted dutch crunch roll. Served with a side of TJ's Crispy Crunchy Broccoli Florets and a nice Maine Root Ginger Brew to wash it all down. Yum!

Notwithstanding that I'd likely not think much of that sandwich (the bread itself sounds tasty . . .), it nevertheless does look pretty good. Are you always this creative? Reminds me just a little bit of a couple of high schoolers fooling around in a kitchen at night throwing just about anything they find in the refrigerator into the blender (so long as there was also some ice cream in there).

Truth be told, this was kind of a "third string" post idea that ended up online because my two other ideas ("Surplus Racist?" and "Sand Waggin'" just weren't making the grade.

The TSG sandwich (minus the coleslaw and with sourdough instead of Dutch Crunch) has been a road trip staple for a couple of years. The trout is canned, sardine-like but firm and with a good flavor. The wasabi gouda has just the right amount of heat. The coleslaw was a spur-of-the-moment choice of convenience. It's a little over the top but the sweetness matches up nicely with the smokiness of the trout and the melted gouda.

Hmmm...do you think kids today do blender adventures...or is that too old school?

I'm not even sure that kids in general back in the day had blender adventures. When that activity has come up from time to time over the years, peers just give me blank stares.

So, more "no school" than "old school."
