A very you-are-here kind if experience, which is much appreciated. I was looking to see if there was a poolside snack shop or something like that? Didn't see one, but perhaps it was early and things were not yet open? For all the noise and people chatting, there wasn't much happening in the pool itself.
Good moment to swim some laps?

Snacks were in short supply that afternoon

Even though the spacious swimmin' hole was sparsely populated, the distribution of pool goers was such that "laps" were kinda tough. I had much better luck the next morning at 8AM.
