Over The Eagle's Shoulder

As in Eagle Rock, a notable landmark right around the 100-mile mark of the Pacific Crest Trail.

We found the formation lived up to it's avian moniker...
...no squinting or "looking at it from just the right angle" required.

Fellow hiker E. Linton enjoying some sea-salted legumes before hitting the trail. (Actually, on second glance, she's staring at her iPhone, taking in a tweet or something.)

This was a wonderful hike! Not too hot & not too long. We saw poppies, lupines, and a Bee tree. We did not see any cows! Can't wait to do it again!

Wow, tres cool. I think the Rock Man would give that one his highest rating - 5 boulders!

Ya gotta love it when Mother Nature reveals her sense of humor.
