Bizarrely mesmerizing! Many of those toppers appeared metallic, but I presume that was just a suitably coated plastic material? I'm also guessing/presuming that many of those were quite old? But, how old? Back to the 50's or even deeper?

And, this fine collection of fine images of amusing closeups reminds me that we are still awaiting a similar treatment of Burlingame-related collections!
